Born in Ferrara, Italy, 1975,
studied classical and jazz piano in Ferrara and then Rome, first experience as a professional live musician when he was 19, he lives in Milano, Italy since 1999. He also collaborates in the project “Zancle” with Serena Ferrara and Ivo Barbieri (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJ47_PzAkxU) dedicated to the mix between jazz and mediterranean sounds.
Again with Israel Varela he has recorded in 2013 his trio album “Mana”, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpjhkpP5X88 containing his compositions, a tribute to his passion for south-american and in particular Cuban music. Amongst the recent collaborations, he was in Denmark with Adam Rapa with the Prinsens Musikkorps and the brass band “Silkeborg Blæserne.” at Riverboat Jazz in Silkeborg, recently he also has participated at CIMVO in L’Olleria, Valencia, Spain with Elisabeth Vik’s quintet.
The song “Abre Los Ojos” from his album “Mana” has been included in the compilation “Jazz Bar 2014” (http://tower.jp/article/feature_item/2014/11/28/0115) and the song “Struggle Through Lucubration” has been included in the compilation “For Jazz Audio Fans Only vol.7” (http://www.catfish-records.jp/product/18239) both selected by the Japanese critic Yasukuni Terashima, one of the most appreciated Japanese Jazz Critics.
He has been invited as a guest in the international conference “Nauji vėjai“ (“Winds bring Changes“) in Palanga, Lituania, in duo with Adam Rapa for the closing concert.
